Having sex makes us smarter: Study

Good news for ardent, if we knew that sex helps to burn calories, keep fit and reduce stress, now we know makes us smarter, thanks to a recent study conducted by the University of Maryland (USA .).
Although it may sound a little elaborate strategy to take us to our girlfriend or boyfriend to bed, the results of tests performed in mice demonstrated. Tests revealed that increases sex practice creating neurons in the hippocampus, a brain area responsible for long term memorable. By contrast, when rodents stopped having sex decreased intelligence.

"We found that although there has been a production of neurons, cognitive skills acquired during the experiment decreased after mice were subjected to long periods of sexual inactivity," says research psychologist.
In addition, tests on adult mice showed that repeated sexual experience rejuvenates the brain as it promotes adult neurogenesis (creation of neurons) and restore cognitive function, as long as the experience persists throughout the trial period. The extent to which changes in adult neurogenesis underlie cognition are another matter and remain unknown.
Another study from South Korea Konkuk University adds one more fact and that is that this sexual activity, to promote the development of neurons and combat the harmful effects of stress to our brain, which influences (much) in inhibiting the creation of new neurons.
But: another study of the German University of Duisburg-Essen shows that viewing pornography can damage the brain, as it can interfere with the memory of the people, especially its multitasking ability. Apparently, sexual arousal during sex on the Internet might interfere with the capacity of our working memory, resulting in an oversight to discern the most relevant environmental information and therefore makes us make bad decisions.

That said, it is clear what to do: sex all the time and less masturbation on the Internet, our neurons to multiply and conquer our head. It's about time that the residences of college students carnal relations are promoted to reach the exam time with really big brain.
Studies:
Sexual experience restores age-related decline in adult neurogenesis and hippocampal function
Pornographic picture processing interferes with working memory performance

Forgot Your Cell? Care Might be victim of nomofobia.

Do not hold back, if you do not have this disease the you're very outdated  I speak of the nomofobia, irrational fear of not bringing up the mobile phone, is the last of the diseases caused by new technologies.
The term was coined in the English No Mobile Phone and refers to the behavioral changes that occur to the person to leave and realize you do not have your phone. Some of these changes include irritability, aggression, difficulty concentrating, among others.
Preliminary studies have found that this syndrome affects approximately 53% of mobile phone users.
But it seems that men are weaker in this aspect as it affects 43% while in women the percentage is higher, approximately 48% percent.

Cons consumption of refined sugar

( cc) Ricardo Ricote Rodríguez |Flickr
How harmful can it be? One of the main questions go through not only those foods that contain large amounts of sugar, fat and calories also add that the body does not need.
Much has been said about the quality of foods that contain sugar, the food industry adds this white ingredient to add flavor, plus hundreds of calories the body does not need.

Sugary foods are attractive, drinks, cakes, cookies, candy, coffee, among others, are more sugar than other ingredients, as they provide the pleasurable feeling of immediate well-being thanks to the large amount of pure sucrose containing, as in the refining process has lost much of its nutrients.
On the BBC website a video explaining how sugar worries much of the scientific community, who consider this additive as a path to obesity is exposed;
foods high in sugar also carry large amounts of fats and ingredients that add calories. Cancer, heart problems and diabetes are among the diseases that usually brings to consume such foods become more common and affordable.

For its part, the World Health Organization, WHO recommends that daily sugar intake does not exceed 5%, ie 6 tablespoons small measures for adult people with normal body mass index. Such action is related to the present in fruit juices sugar, honey, syrups, and those foods with added sugar, such as a can of soda contains 40 grams (10 teaspoons). A recommendation that seeks to reduce the chances of contracting serious illnesses product of excessive intake of this ingredient.
Some argue that sugar consumption is related to alcohol or cigarettes in how addiction causes in people who can not put it aside, or try another way to sweeten coffee in the morning. In addition, the cons are the amounts of this element in foods consumed daily, reducing intake of healthy food. A reality that concerned when children who usually seek reward in full of this white sweet ingredient. If you have high levels of sugar, there are several foods that help reduce and, believe it or not, marijuana adds another benefit to health, as the reducing agent from the blood, as noted by a recent scientific research.
As carbohydrate intake is judged, sugar is another ingredient that has been in the discussion of the academy, and those consumed daily in various preparations. Finally, the conclusion is similar to other questionable foods: eat sparingly, switch to healthy living and exercise should not affect the minimum daily consumption. A balanced diet is the answer to many of the concerns about health and sugar intake, but how much of our diet is balanced?
Start changing the way you sweeten coffee or tea in the morning, use honey or stevia and start achieving minimal changes. Getting to a healthy diet is a decision. Finding and clicking is a personal attitude.

More dangers of packaged food:

A study warns of long-term risks of modern packaging of foodstuffs we eat.

In polycarbonate bottles can be found bisphenol-A. Source: Wikipedia.
According to a study the chemicals used in packaging, storage and processed food could be harmful to the long-term health. This because of the substances used are not inert and may end up going to eventually eat the food.
Although these substances are regulated, people who eat packaged or processed food are chronically exposed to low levels of these compounds throughout their lives. Furthermore, little is known of the impact this may have on critical stages of human development, such as in pregnancy.
The authors of the study suggest that exposure to food in contact with them is a source of concern for several reasons. Contaminants is formaldehyde, which is known to cause cancer but its use is legal. Even at low levels, this compound is widely present in the bottles from plastic cutlery and plates of melanin.
Other compounds present fall into the category of hormonal disruptors as bisphenol A, tributilín, triclosan or flalatos. The number of these substances exceeds 4000.
Nevertheless the effect of these substances is in political debate and fight to meet the needs of stakeholders, consumers remain exposed to these chemicals on a daily basis, most of the time without being aware of it.
And what's more, the potential ability to cause cell damage by these substances, particularly those capable of altering the hormonal behavior is not taken into account when routine toxicology tests are performed. This, according to the authors, casts serious doubts on what that may be suitable regulatory procedures.
Allowed to establish a cause and effect as a result of prolonged exposure to these substances is a difficult task, mainly because there is no part of the population that has not been exposed with which to compare. In addition, it is likely that there are significant differences in exposure levels between individuals.
However, they claim to be an urgent eye on the matter to determine possible connections between food contact with these chemicals and chronic conditions such as obesity, diabetes, neurological disorders, inflammatory disorders and cancer, especially given the known role demisting by environmental pollutants.
"Like most of the food is packaged and the entire population is exposed is important gaps in the knowledge we have about it are quickly eliminated," they conclude.

The natural medicine is a rip off

Imagine for a moment you start to feel pain in your lower abdomen. For days, your gut has increased in size and frequently go to the bathroom. What is it? What's happening in your body? The answer should be in medicine (or natural medicine maybe?).
Instead, you decide to consult Google. Do not kid yourself, everyone you have ever done. You type symptoms and read pages of various kinds. Your face changes, a shiver runs down your back. Can it be cancer?

Palomaleca (Flickr)
Now, you decide to turn off the computer and act like you should have done at first: going to test doctor. After ultrasound, diagnostic approaches: large ovarian cyst. What to do? "Natural remedies without scientific evidence intended to mislead the patient to take money"
Chances are from here, ask our specialist decides blood tests and if necessary, perform surgery. Then analyze the cyst (a tumor that is often benign), and luckily, in a few months back home safely.
The reality is different. There are people using for-profit health very unethical, advertise on the internet the existence of "natural remedies" that can stop and cure these ovarian cysts. No blood tests. Without evidence. Without surgery. A simple chamomile tea could get.

Internet circulates in a highly publicized lovers natural medicine book. Written by Amanda Clark, the guide is reviewed in the network as "the work of miracles" to sell that ovarian cysts can be removed in only three steps. If we go to the Castilian edition, the author writes "pearls" as:

Another area that should be incorporated in the diet immediately at the first signs of PCOS and ovarian cysts is chamomile tea. Chamomile is a small plant with yellow flowers of the sunflower family. Used medicinally for thousands of years to treat anxiety, infections and inflammations, is also used for its mild sedative effects.

So far, no why would alarm us too. At the end of the day, chamomile is consumed for its relaxing effects, and all we have ever taken this tea. But it works in the treatment of ovarian cysts? Clark, considered an expert in natural medicine, and defends its use:

Chamomile tea offers excellent and immediate soothing effect when suffering from pain PCOS and ovarian cysts, and help your body and mind to relax. I have recommended these steps to use as a tool to manage your pain and discomfort now. Many of the women who are reading the book are now going through a period of pain now take these remedies, to find temporary relief, and continue reading to find the solution that will end with PCOS and ovarian cysts forever.

As read: chamomile tea is one of the remedies that can eliminate ovarian cysts. No blood. Without evidence. Without surgery. Really? The answer: absolutely not. That there are people of questionable ethics and no known health qualification practicing natural medicine is a complete aberration.
Clark Home remedies are varied, including household tips without any scientific evidence. According to the author of the book, reduce levels of sugar we eat, make a "liver cleansing" often or change the pH of our diet can help eliminate ovarian cysts. Or rather, as naturopathic own, these tips can "give your body the conditions need to defeat cysts permanently" says.

A cyst, like any type of tumor, must be used by physicians, to know if you have malignant cells. In that case, the patient should undergo further treatments (such as chemotherapy), after going under the knife. Sell smoke with chamomile tea and miracle cures is a genuine outrage. "Let us advise the pseudomedicina can cost us very expensive"
If the problem goes beyond a common benign cyst, infusions of chamomile Clark specialist will avail nothing. Moreover, you would put your life in danger. And even if benign, the tumor can suffer major complications (rupture, torsion), which can seriously affect our health.

I'm not saying that everything natural is bad. In fact, many drugs we use today have their origin in chemical compounds produced by plants. What is horrible is to take advantage of the illness of a person without any scruples, jeopardizing their health. Never doubt forget natural medicine and go to hospital if you have a problem.

Semen makes women happy

In an investigation it was found that the women who have contact with the semen often become depressed less than those who use a condom.

Researchers spread in the magazine New Scientist that semen is likely to make women happy, this statement significantly damages campaigns promoting condom use.
They came to this conclusion after studying two groups of couples did not use one condom in sexual relations and another group who had sex with protection.
It was observed that women who have direct contact with seminal fluid were less depressed. Although it is still an assumption that researchers think this is because the hormones in semen and changing moods these are absorbed into the vagina.
And although it may appear to be a barrier to use a condom, specialist from the State University of New York Gordon Gallup said that it was not intended to discourage sex with condom use. Because there are two particular factors to take into account in deciding to use protection one are sexually transmitted diseases and other are the unwanted pregnancies.
To reach this result made a study called Beck Depression Inventory where 293 women made them a questionnaire on levels of humor.
All forms of the study is causing great controversy.

Pareidolia, I see There?

Perhaps the word pareidolia sound to something that is very rare, but in reality it refers to something very common that occurs with the human brain, and it is the ability to recognize faces or forms in an image, but which in reality do not exist.
According to experts this happens because the brain to save time performs tasks of prediction on the basis of forms that already know(pattern) and we have saved in memory. This occurs naturally because this is the way our brain works.
Below I am showing you several images of example of this phenomenon. Use your imagination to find out what they seem.

Women are ever feels stressed out by more with bad news

Women are ever feels stressed out by more to the negative news in the media
With the arrival of the television channels that offer specialized coverage 24 hours a day, Internet and smart phones, the possibility to be in permanent contact with the media has increased dramatically in recent decades.
Women are ever feels stressed out by more to the bad news in the media. Photo: Rgbstock (Sanja Gjenero).

In spite of this increased access to information, has not yet been extensively studied the impact that exposure to the media has on health.

Given that the majority of the information that is transmitted in the media is negative, and that before the perception of a threat, either actual or implied, the brain activates the stress system, which leads to the secretion of the hormone cortisol, in a recent study the researchers was designed to determine the reaction that produce the negative news in healthy people.

The researchers found that while reading the news not neutral or negative has led to a significant increase in cortisol levels in both men and women, specifically among the women, exposure to the negative news, resulted in a significant increase in the physiologic reactivity to a stressor later.

This means that women are more susceptible to the negative news and have, in addition, a greater memory of such news that the men, resulting in stress.

Soon transplants of neurons

Predict that will be successful transplants of neurons very soon.

As part of the European study TRANS-EURO, at the beginning of 2015-16, five patients with Parkinson's disease will be submitted to transplants of neurons in the HSkåne University Hospital of Lund, Sweden.

These are the first operations of this type in Europe for more than 10 years.

After many years will be carried out again transplants of neurons, which gives hope to many patients who suffer from Parkinson's disease. Credit: Depositphotos.

The Transeuropean study, which in Sweden is being led by the University of Lund, is now taking a critical approach to the viability of the cell therapy as a future treatment for Parkinson's disease.

Can we replace the cells that die as a result of our neurological diseases more common? What are the therapies of the future for neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease?

Under the direction of professor of neurology Olle Lindwall, researchers from the University of Lund had already developed a method of transplantation of nerve cells in the 1980s.

In 1987, the neurosurgeon Stig Rehncrona operated the first patient. This study was historic, and marked the first repair of the human nervous system.

"From the progress made in the 1980s and 1990s, the field of research has been found with many obstacles.

At the beginning of the decade of 2000, two American studies reported a negative result, which led to the cell transplants for Parkinson's disease to a blind alley", said professor Anders Björklund, who in the 1980s was responsible for the innovative discoveries.

Despite the unsatisfactory results presented at the us trials, has even been considered that the cell therapy can have effects that are completely unique in the history of research on Parkinson's disease.

A third of patients who have received transplants, have benefited significantly from the cell therapy, and have not had to take medication for very long periods of time, in some cases up to 20 years.

"For a disease with a regimen of medication administered very demanding, and for which, the effects of the standard medication begin to decrease after 5 to 10 years, the cell therapy represents a hope for a different kind of life for many patients with Parkinson's disease," said Professor Håkan Widner, which is responsible for the recruitment of patients in Lund.

"The results of TRANS-EURO will play an important role in the immediate future of the cell therapy as a viable treatment.

We have analyzed the American studios that failed in an attempt to improve the technique, in order to improve the selection of patients and perform more custom tracking.

We hope that the results will be different this time," concluded professor Widner.

South Korea creates the first nanorobots to treat cancer

Scientists in South Korea have created nanorobots to treat cancer more effectively and with fewer harmful side-effects than chemotherapy.
A team of researchers in South Korea has produced successful results in their tests of a new method to fight cancer. The method is based on selective treatment applied directly to cancer cells by nanorobots that are injected into the body to transport the drugs needed to fight the tumour. With this design, the system is more effective than chemotherapy and is not as harmful to the patient.
South Korean researchers have tested their new method successfully on mice, but they are convinced that the nanorobots can be used to treat cancer in humans. The main advantage over chemotherapy is the selective capabilities of this system, which targets only the tumour cells, making the action more effective and does not harm other parts of the body.
The nanorobots are introduced by genetically modified salmonella bacteria, which contain microscopic capsules filled with drugs. These new nanorobots have been dubbed ‘bacteriabots’, in reference to the importance of the salmonella bacteria and the possibilities presented by the nanorobots.

After being injected into the body, the bacteria are attracted by the chemical compounds given off by the cancer cells. When the bacteria reach the cancer cells, the capsules carried by the nanorobots release the drugs directly into the tumour. This direct action is aimed at eliminating the source of the cancer without harming other tissues.
The use of these nano-robots to treat cancer could avoid the side effects of chemotherapy, such as nausea and anaemia. The existing treatments against this type of tumour affect many other parts of the body, which end up harmed, unlike the treatment with the  bacteriabots, which selectively attack the cancer cells.
The bacteria used at this point can detect only certain types of cancer – which is essential for them to reach them – but researchers expect to be able to detect and treat a wider variety of tumours using this method in the future. Researchers have already patented the new system in Japan, the United States and Europe, but it has not yet been approved for use in people.

Menudo – A Wonderfully Delicious Mexican Soup

Menudo is known as the world’s greatest hangover cure. Some people also believe it has medicinal values. Especially for people with gastric problems or illnesses that affect their appetites. Me? I take menudo for exactly what it is, a hearty, spicy, yummy, Mexican soup, filled with tripe (and pig or calves feet, if you choose) and hominy. Great for breakfast, lunch or dinner. It’s definitely a meal all on it’s own and something special to make and share.
For those of you still questioning the fact that menudo has tripe in it, don’t! Tripe is really tasty. I promise! If you’re still unsure, start with a small amount. Maybe a 1/2 lb. Soon, you’ll be adding more and more. Watch!
Menudo:
1 to 1 1/2 lbs beef honeycomb tripe, cut into 1″ squares – $2.43
1 medium White or Yellow Onion, diced – $.20
1 Tbsp garlic, minced – $.20
2 cups cooked yellow or white hominy (I like dried, that I precook. Frozen or canned is fine too) – $.99
2- 3 teaspoons salt (I like 3, but some might want to add more salt later) – pantry
3 Tbsps New Mexico red chili powder (depending on heat, you can add a little less or a little more) – pantry
2 tsps Mexican oregano – pantry
1 Tbsp coarse black pepper – pantry
1/2 tsp cumin powder – pantry
2 Bay Leaf – pantry

Garnish:

Lemon or Lime wedges – $.50
Chopped green onion or Cilantro – $.25
1/2 Chopped Onion – $.15
Chile Pequin (Dried Chile pepper flakes) – pantry
COST: $4.72
Clean tripe very well. Cut into 1 to 2″ squares and place into a large pot. Cover with water (at least 2 inches above tripe). Add bay leaf and salt. Cover and bring to boil. Reduce to simmer and cook for 2 hours. You may need to skim off fat with a spoon, on occasion.
After 2 hours, add garlic, diced onion, pepper, Mexican oregano, cumin, and red chili powder. Stir, cover and simmer for another 2 hours. Add hominy and bring back to simmer. Cook for 45 more mins.
Serve hot! Garnish with diced onion, cilantro, lemon wedges, and/or green onions as garnish.
NOTE: Traditionally, pig or calf feet are added as well. I like ham hock. I’ve also heard of people adding veal knuckle. Any of the above are great additions, but you don’t NEED them. This is superb just as it is! Enjoy!
GRAND TOTAL: $4.72

Many of these will allow you to deal with it by replacing the main vitamins and fluids that you have lost while knocking back shots and bottles to your favorite drinks and http://www.drinksecrets.com/drinks/sex-on-the-beach/d349 , even though some of them are avoiding coffee as well as other stuff which could slow your recovery. Theres no cure that could work for everybody, thats why a good starting point is finding out what really works for you. Below are some ways to guide an efficient remedy for your hangover:

Take Vitamin C or drink fresh orange juice.
Drink Gatorade, Powerade or any other sports drinks.
Eat foods abundant with essential minerals like canned fish and pickles.
Hit the shower and switch between cold and warm water.
Take Vitamin B complex and drink lots of water before you go to bed.
Get active and do a little exercise - Drink a liter of water and move out for some physical exercises like jogging, cycling, swimming, mountain climbing, or maybe about any action that will make you sweat. It takes a lot of will power to do these activities when standing alone appears to be difficult, but is absolutely worthwhile to cope with hangover and improve your overall health.
